Deferiprone is a chelating agent for trivalent iron. It binds iron and is therefore used in the treatment of iron overload in patients with thalassaemia major.

This combination contains dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid, dibucaine (cinchocaine), a local anaesthetic and long-acting chinoline derivative, and butanediole, a polyvalent alcohol with antiseptic properties. It is used in the therapy of inflammatory diseases of the ear such as auditory canal eczema and otitis media.

Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea-derivate and belongs to the class of oral anti-diabetic drugs. It stimulates the insulin release of the pancreatic beta cells and thereby leads to a reduction in blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus type II.
