Piroxicam betadex is a molecule developed by Chiesi based on a chemical complex (host-guest technology) in which every piroxicam molecule is enclosed in a sugar ring. This formulation yields a significant improvement in terms and resorption and, therefore, the onset of action.
The portfolio of rheumatological products is being expanded through the addition of a hyaluronic acid preparation (NeoVisc®) and a modern anti-rheumatic therapy (Orthokin®).

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide which is equivalent to the synovial fluid of the human joints. Due to its viscoelastic characteristics, hyaluronic acid has lubricating and cushioning effects in the major joints and allows natural and pain-free movement. The product we offer contains hyaluronic acid derived from bacteria and, therefore, does not contain any chicken protein. It is a medical device and is particularly indicated for patients with painful degenerative and traumatic changes of the synovial joints such as knee, shoulder or hip.

Orthokine serum is an autologous injection solution derived from the patient´s blood. It may be used for the treatment of osteroarthritis and nerve root inflammation of different origin, such as disc prolapse.

Piroxicam betadex is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which acts as an antiphlogistic, analgesic and antipyretic. In comparison to pure piroxicam, this agent has a faster onset of action and better gastrointestinal tolerance. It is used to relieve painful conditions such as musculoskeletal pain.
